A lecture entitled ‘Knights of Christ: The Templars, Hospitallers and Lazarites in Scotland’ is to be given on Tuesday 25 September 2018.
The lecture will be given by Rory MacLellan, MLitt, doctoral candidate in Medieval History at the University of St Andrews, who has been making use of the facilities provided by the library of the Priory of Scotland, at St John House.
The lecture is a review of the roles of the Knights Templar, Knights Hospitaller, and the Order of St Lazarus in Scotland from 1128 to the Reformation. New information arising from recent research will be included.
Admission is free. The venue is the Royal Scots Club (Hepburn Suite), 30 Abercromby Place, Edinburgh EH3 6QE. The lecture will start at 7.00pm and last around 60 minutes (including questions).
