Celebrating 75 years
1947 - 2022
2022 is a special year for St John Scotland, as we celebrate 75 years of helping communities across Scotland and internationally.
We’ve come a long way since we were founded in 1947, and this special milestone is an opportunity to reflect on the difference we have made to individuals and communities across Scotland, as well as look to the future.

Here are just some of the exciting things we're planning this year:
> An oral history project to record and celebrate our heritage
Have you been involved in St John Scotland in the past, or are you a current volunteer? Have you been affected by St John Scotland's work? If you could share your experience to help us capture the story of St John Scotland, we'd love to hear from you - please get in touch.
> Local events across Scotland throughout the year

75th Kiltwalk challenge
Could you raise £75 for St John Scotland's 75th anniversary?
There are four Kiltwalks taking place across Scotland in 2022, plus a Virtual Kiltwalk in October.
These fun, friendly events are a great way to raise money for St John Scotland. You can choose the distance that suits you, and it's not a race - just a great opportunity to challenge yourself by taking on a walk of around 5, 15, or 25 miles (distances vary by location).
If walking is not your thing, why not take on your own challenge? The Virtual Kiltwalk weekend is taking place from 7-9 October. You can sign up, choose your own challenge, and complete it over the weekend, wherever you are!
Whichever Kiltwalk you take part in, every pound you raise is topped up by 50% by The Hunter Foundation, meaning your fundraising goes even further.
That also means to raise £75 for 75, you only need to reach a fundraising target of £50, and the Hunter Foundation will add the rest!
The Kiltwalk dates for 2022 are:
- Glasgow - 24 April
- Aberdeen - 29 May
- Dundee - 21 August
- Edinburgh - 18 September
- Scotland’s Virtual Kiltwalk 7 - 9 October
As a thank you for taking part we'll cover your entry fees and send you a St John Scotland T shirt and goodie bag.
