Stewarton Thru the Ages

Publication date 19 May 2023

On Friday 19 May, more than 100 people from the local community gathered in St Columba’s Church Hall, Stewarton, for a nostalgic trip down memory lane and supper. Thanks to Archie Chalmers, St John Scotland Ayrshire and Arran Public Access Defibrillator Lead, the audience were treated to a slide show of ‘Stewarton Thru the Ages’ which recollected people and places from the past, with commentary from Archie.

Thanks, also to Janice Granger, Events Lead, for organising the evening and to the very talented Joe Auld, for accompanying the Scottish sing-along throughout the night.

As well as highlighting the work carried out by St John Scotland, almost £500 was raised. Congratulations to Jeanette Dunlop, who won the teddy bear.
