  • Concert raises funds for Patient Transport service

A fundraising concert held at Fife's historic Hill of Tarvit Mansion has raised almost £2,000 to support the local St John Scotland Patient Transport service.

Music group Cantamus provided entertainment while a host of raffle prizes donated by local businesses helped increase donations on the night.

The St John Scotland Patient Transport service was establised in Fife in 2017, and help patients from across the region get to dialysis treatment at Dunfermline’s Queen Margaret Hospital and Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

With dialysis requiring three treatments per week, and taking hours each time, it's a service which is a lifeline for local patients, and is run entirely by volunteers. You can read more about the service here.
