Volunteer Patient Transport driver - Moray

Do you enjoy driving? Could you give up a few hours a week to help people get to hospital for dialysis treatment?

St John Scotland is looking for Volunteer Patient Transport Drivers based in Moray to join our Aberdeen & North East team.

The service supports patients from across the region living with chronic kidney disease to access dialysis treatment at Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin.

Dialysis treatment must be given three times a week, and for patients who would otherwise rely on taxi or ambulance transport, the St John Scotland service means they have a free, reliable and friendly service they can depend on.

The service is currently in development, with an expected launch date in Autumn 2022. We are keen to recruit volunteers in good time so we can provide a reliable service to patients from the offset.

Does this sound like you?

If you:

  • Live in Moray
  • Are between 25 – 80 years old
  • Hold a full driving licence and are a competent driver
  • Have access to your own car and are happy to use it for Patient Transport
  • Are friendly, and have a sense of responsibility and commitment

We'd love to hear from you!
