St John Scotland volunteers have been helping teach members of the public CPR in Torrance, East Dunbartonshire, as part of the local Girls' Brigade's drive to raise money to install a defibrillator in the local area.

This weekend, more than 40 local people learned the life-saving skills as part of an event hosted by the Girls' Brigade at Torrance Parish Church.

Generous donations on the day helped raise more than £1,000 towards a defibrillator, which it is hoped will be installed in the area in the new year.
