Public Access Defibrillator for Broomhouse church

St David's Church in Broomhouse, Edinburgh, has become one of the latest venues to install a Public Access Defibrillator as part of the St John and the City project.

The defibrillator was unveiled yesterday on Restart a Heart Day, a worldwide campaign to raise awareness of CPR and life-saving techniques.

The church was able to purchase the defibrillator thanks to a legacy left by Colin D MacKay MBE, a church elder and ex-Session Clerk. It has been installed as part of the St John and the City project, which has so far seen more than 110 defibrillators placed across the capital and surrounding areas.
