Members of St John Scotland's Aberdeen and North East area are working together with two other local charities to help provide a Public Access Defibrillator for Westhill, outside Aberdeen.
Members have joined forces with Westhill and Kingswells First Responders and the Rotary Club of Westhill and District to help raise funds for the defibrillator, which it's hoped will be placed at the community's shopping centre for members of the public to be able to use in an emergency.
Volunteer CPR trainers from St John Scotland were at Saturday's Westhill Gala, working alongside the First Responders team, to teach gala visitors the life-saving technique.
The Rotary club of Westhill and District have also committed to funding an additional defibrillator for another location within Westhill.
A JustGiving page has been set up to allow people to make online donations to the defibrillator fund: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/amanda-mcclean
