Sir Andrew Murray Holiday House,Strathyre

"It's a great place for people to get together and relax. For some of the carers, it's like the Ritz!"
Comment from a short break organiser from Alzheimers Scotland, a charity which has used the house every summer for 20 years.
This purpose-built holiday house is perfect for groups of people of all ages wishing to enjoy a short break in the countryside. Ideal for charities and similar organisations, it is suitable for people with limited mobility and for wheelchair users. It is situated in the village of Strathyre in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and surrounded by some of Scotland's most scenic countryside.
The house sleeps 12 in six twin bedrooms. Four bedrooms each have a private bathroom and small kitchen, while a further unit has two twin bedrooms with a bathroom and kitchen. Three of the bathrooms have walk-in showers. There is a comfortably furnished communal lounge, a large conservatory, a games room and a fully-equipped kitchen. The house is not staffed.
Strathyre has a shop, post office and various places to eat - hotels, pubs and restaurants. The nearest town is Callander, 8 miles away.
The weekly rate for a group of 12 people is £700 which includes electricty and heating. Shorter breaks and smaller groups can be arranged and the rate adjusted accordingly.
