On Thursday 28th of September, St John Scotland's Highland committee handed over a cheque for £500 to the Highland Cross Seagull.
The Highland Branch of Seagull Trust Cruises is based in Inverness but unlike the Trust’s other Branches, it has no office or base to work from and it relies on donations to supply the required facilities to allow it to operate. The barge operates on the Caledonian Canal, crusing the 4.5 miles between Caley Marina and Dochgarroch, which takes around 2 hours.
John Gordon, the Highland Branch Manager of Seagull Trust Cruises said: "On behalf of the Highland Branch of Seagull Trust Cruises, I wish to record our grateful thanks to the Highland committee of St John Scotland for their continuing support. That support is very much appreciated."
