Edinburgh Castle was the stunning backdrop at The New Club on the 31st of October, for a St John Scotland Edinburgh Committee initiative to attract new members.
Organised by Harry McCorkell, the event raised £150 in funds for St John Scotland's Edinburgh committee, and introduced some new faces to the charity.
The Edinburgh committee of St John Scotland run the St John and the City Public Access Defibrillator Project. The aim of the project is to place life saving devices at strategic sites - known as Hosts - across Edinburgh, taking into account the volume of people in the immediate vicinity. The project has seen St John Scotland’s Edinburgh committee team up with various businesses – or donors – around the city to place life-saving defibrillators in key locations – including Edinburgh’s tram network. Over 130 life-saving defibrillators have been placed across Edinburgh and surrounding areas since the inception of the scheme last year.
